Advanced Urology joins Physician-led bike tour through Illinois to raise awareness for cancer and urologic diseases

WHAT: 2nd Annual Urologic Cancer Program Bike Tour
WHO: 15 cyclists, including surgeons from the University of Chicago Medicine, ride from Bloomington, Ill. to Crown Point, Ind. to raise awareness about urologic diseases.
WHEN: Thursday, Sept. 25 and Friday, Sept. 26
WHERE: Ride begins Thursday in Bloomington, Ill. at 9:30 a.m. CT and ends at 3:30 p.m. CT Friday in Crown Point, Ind. Detailed schedule below. Times are approximate.
HOW: Contact Richard Seefeldt, who is traveling with the team, to meet up with cyclists along the route or arrange interviews.
Surgeons from the University of Chicago Medicine are cycling 100 miles over two days to raise awareness about urologic diseases and cancer. The group will depart from Bloomington, Ill. Sept. 25 at approximately 9:30 a.m. CT, making stops in Peoria at Affiliated Urology Specialists at approximately 1 p.m. and Illinois CancerCare at 3 p.m.
The ride continues Sept. 26, when cyclists visit Advanced Urology Associates Prostate Cancer Center in Joliet at 9:30 a.m. before traveling to Community Hospital in Munster at 1:30 p.m. The ride ends at 3:30 p.m. at Franciscan St. Anthony Health in Crown Point, Ind.
The physicians hope their ride will boost awareness about urologic diseases, as well as the importance of early detection and testing.
